A Common Sense Voice of Reason
Deborah Pauly is a staff attorney with The Lex Rex Institute, a constitutional advocacy public interest law firm, headquartered in Long Beach, California. Ms. Pauly attained her juris doctorate from Trinity Law School, a private law school in Orange County, California, providing exceptional legal education in the Judeo-Christian tradition with a Biblical world view and adherence to natural aw jurisprudence.
She is a founding board member and immediate past President of the Conservative Patriots of Orange County (CPOC), an autonomous, non-partisan, non-profit 501(c)4 social welfare entity dedicated to individual liberty, limited government, local control, sound fiscal policy and free enterprise. CPOC is open to a broad spectrum of political persuasions.
Ms. Pauly served two four-year terms as an elected councilmember for the City of Villa Park, providing oversight and setting policy that led to greater fiscal stability for that municipality. During her tenure, she was chairwoman of the Towne Center Improvement Committee leading a dying center to greater economic freedom and growth. Her work to relieve local businesses of regulatory constraints resulted in a vibrant revival of the city’s only commercial zone.
Ms. Pauly received the 2009 Woman of the Year Award for the 60th Assembly District. The California Legislative Women’s Caucus sponsors the annual recognition ceremony in the Capitol each March as part of Women’s History Month. It is a rare distinction to be honored once, but Deborah was also named Woman of the Year in 2003. She served as the Principal Controlling Officer of the “Stop the Rip-Off! campaign committee and defeating three attempted property tax increases. She was lead organizer and hostess of The OC DeploraBall: The Trump Inaugural Celebration in Orange County, California on January 20, 2017. Deborah served as an elected member of the Central Committee, Republican Party of Orange County from 2006 to 2020.
